Funding / revenue for the Cans For Kids Project:
The Project was initially funded through the efforts of our Australian recycling program called Cans For Kids Project. Students at schools in South Australia, recycled cans, bottles and drink boxes, to raise money, to help kids in underdeveloped countries go to school.
The Australian Founder and Director, Patriz Kerkenaar purchased the land and associated costs from her own funds.
Fundraising has now become more diverse and creative, in response to the 2020 Pandemic.
Future revenue is expected to come from the following sources:
- Cans For Kids Project recycling proceeds and donations
- Donations from friends and family
- Fundraising activities
- Benefit concerts
- Corporate sponsorship
- Business sponsorship
- Ghanian Government sponsorship/grant
- Catholic Church members bequests
- Independent Education Union support
- Alliances with musicians/the music industry
- Student fees
- International volunteer placements/fees
- International graduate placements/fees
